These are some of the simple coding/programming projects I have
worked on recently. They basically were intended to teach (or rather
re-teach) myself in 1802 programming. After 30 years, I found it
difficult, so I can imagine it would be near impossible for most
anybody to just pick it up and start programming fluidly, so I
heartedly recommend Tom Pittman's "A Short Course In Programming." All of my programs are written out in a notebook, and after several pages of writing and then re-writing the code, and then entering it into the Elf2000 and getting it to finally work, only then do I actually type out the instructions for you to try, or at least maybe to learn from. These weren't written by a rocket scientist, so don't expect anything earth shattering. The idea is that a computer ought to interact with the real world and make a difference, or at least an impact. So I try and think of simple programs that DO something. No, this won't get up and walk, but it should be able to talk one day, and definitely be able to make music and sounds that are distinct to a computer. If you have any 1802 related coding that I could use to learn from, and or put up on this page, I would give full credit, and would really enjoy learning just how much can be done with such a "rudimentary" microprocessor! |
